Student's Workshop
Laburnum Public School students participate in various workshops to improve their skills on learning, communicating, listening level. Students tend to develop sharing and bonding through the activities conducted in the workshop. On the basis of the student’s individual interest, knowledge can be gained in different areas through our workshops that will eventually add immense value for students and their upcoming future. Regular Yoga workshops will be conducted to the students across all grades. Laburnum Public School guides and motivates students to participate in various external workshops to expertise students into their field of interest. Full-fledged robotic workshop had been conducted for senior secondary students.
Teacher's Workshop
Laburnum Public School believes that the workshop is a platform to upgrade the skill set for each staff member. As learning is a never ending process we organize many internal and external workshops on a regular basis. This will ease our staff to adapt to technological changes and innovations more readily. Workshops of LPS often take place in groups where the participants are encouraged to interact with each other, this helps to create team spirit among the LPS staff. As per CBSE norms all the teaching staff undergoes all the training on each academic year to keep updated. Furthermore these workshops enable the staff to learn additional skills and develop capabilities, thus enhancing their versatility for advancement At LPS, we provide opportunities for staff to present to their topic of interest for learning and sharing among their peers. . Laburnum Public School workshops aim to incorporate, improve the attitudes, skills and abilities amongst staff of all levels to perform their specific jobs. Professional and Personal Development extremely empowers not only the individual, but also it impacts the students and the society.
Parent's Workshop
The child development is a continuous process wherein all the stakeholders i.e. school, teachers, parents and the child himself/herself are responsible for their growth. Keeping this in consideration we organized the time to time workshop, parenting session, career counselling sessions, different kinds of sessions for the parents on mental awareness to bridge the gap and we help them to give the parenting tips also. We at Laburnum Public School make sure that it is not enough that only the children are counselled in the field of possible career choices. It is important to counsel the parents at the same time regarding their children’s career choices and for this LPS conducts parent workshops in schools, in order to guide the parents in the right way of supporting their children’s career choices. Here the parents are taught basic skills such as listening to their children’s independent opinions, engaging in healthy debate, having a non-violent style of parenting, respecting the privacy of the children, creating an atmosphere where the children are comfortable sharing all their problems with their parents, healthy discussions about career choices and supporting the career preferences of the children.
